The heart is for loving.

"The heart needs feeding, pausing, praying, singing and loving. It needs exercise."

~Jeannie Zandi

Jeannie invites participants to soften into presence and being. She talks about the “big deal” of turning toward the heart given Earth’s regular insults to it. Jeannie talks about the unstoppable love of the spiritual heart and the tender nature of the human heart, and the task of seeking to live the hugeness of the spiritual heart through the human heart. Jeannie talks about finding places that move and touch us, and finding ways in the everyday to exercise our hearts by expressing them in the ways they are moved to express.

Exchanges

Exchange 1: Participant wants to explore sharing their heart, and being received or not, and how that is.  Jeannie talks about beginning to share where we feel we'll be well received, and then moving on to more difficult situations. Participant talks about the young aspects that love to love, and Jeannie talks about the feelings of age with regard to the heart. Jeannie talks about love as it rises, and then the skillful means of delivering that love.

Exchange 2: Participant wants to explore loving, and being love, not feeling safe. She talks about childcare job where she's burned out and feels overrun by the collective needs of the situation, and then plumps back up in light in safe spaces. Jeannie talks about the crucifixion of the unlimited heart and the limited body, and the maturing of the lover, as well as living from the nourishment and protection of the maturing heart.

Exchange 3: Participant has a hungry heart and has an expectation they might not be welcomed. Their heart wants to go out and build connection and as they do that, they encounter resistance inside, and feels very outer-focused. Jeannie invites participant to allow this aspect to express itself through sound and movement and have its life.
